palestine

I made this because I kept seeing people ask where to donate, who to follow, and what was actually worth sharing. If that is you, this is a place to start.

what is happening

The situation changes quickly, so I keep this section tied to the newest OCHA report I have checked.

These numbers show part of the scale, but obviously they cannot show the whole picture.

  • 58% of people in Gaza face severe deficiencies in shelter conditions or access to essential services and basic non-food items.
  • About 1.98 million people, 94% of Gaza's population, need shelter assistance and basic household items.
  • Shortages of medicines, dialysis supplies, laboratory materials, and oxygen equipment continue to undermine health care.
  • Since the beginning of 2026, OCHA has recorded more than 1,040 Palestinians injured in settler attacks in the West Bank.

how to help

You do not have to do everything here. Pick whatever you can actually keep doing.

  1. Help one family. Choose a campaign to follow, save it somewhere, read their updates, donate if you can, and keep sharing their story.
  2. Support relief efforts. Medical care, shelter, water, food, and health services will be needed for a long time.
  3. Listen to people in Gaza. Follow people who are sharing their own experiences, not only accounts reposting somebody else's.
  4. Learn before reposting. Use original posts, dated reports, and sources written by Palestinians so you know where a claim is coming from.
  5. Cannot donate right now? Keep one family's campaign link alive by continuing to share their story. It may reach somebody who can donate and help that family.

families you can help directly

Direct fundraisers can help with things like food, shelter, medical care, and transport. I would rather keep up with one family over time than click through a bunch of campaigns once and forget about them.

I chose Israa's campaign because I want to keep supporting one family rather than treat direct aid like a link I see once and forget. Her campaign is organised by Andrew Li. Please open it and read her story for yourself before donating.

before you donate from a reel

Some scammers repost somebody else's video and replace the original donation link with their own. That does not mean every family fundraiser is a scam. Just take a minute to check before you send money.

  • Go to the person's original profile instead of donating from a repost account.
  • Compare the person's name, fundraiser name, organiser, and linked social accounts.
  • Look through older posts and fundraiser updates. The names and story should stay consistent.
  • If the video is about one family but the bio sends you to a different name or campaign, do not donate through it.
  • Share the original fundraiser URL, not a screenshot or copied bio link.

A GoFundMe page lets you inspect the organiser, campaign updates, and donation protection information, but the link alone is not proof that a campaign is genuine. Real families may also use other platforms.
